The Google Pixel 7 is one of the most awaited smartphones. Currently, there have been many leaks related to smartphones with the Android operating system. Google itself, has shared a lot of information about the Google Pixel 7 at the Google I / O 2022 event. One of them is that the smartphone will certainly come with the latest generation Tensor processor.
Google also provided the code that the Pixel 7 device it designed would launch in 2022. Although it is not explicitly stated, it is likely that it will happen in October. Google Pixel 7 will come with a rear camera arrangement design that is almost the same as the back panel. The smartphone will be available in many color variants.
So far, leaks say the available colors include white, black, lime green on the Pixel 7, and dark green on the Pixel 7 Pro with a gold shield. However, it is possible that there will also be other colors. The design that is carried is quite controversial. Many hate this design but not a few who like it. But there is no denying that the design elements are different from most Android smartphones.
Obviously this is a plus. The most notable changes seem to be a slight reduction in the thickness of the module, an extension of the aluminum coating on the module and a slight change to the lens arrangement. According to top leaker Young, the Pixel 7's screen will shrink from 6.4 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pixel 7 Pro will stay at 6.7 inches. This is good news for those who like small smartphones.
Regarding the photography sector, the Google Pixel 7 is said to be carrying the same camera as the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. But maybe the camera upgrade will be done in the software. That means we'll see the same 50MP Octa PD Quad Bayer lens, with f/1.85 aperture and 1.2µm pixel width, and 12MP ultra-wide. Along with a 4x optical 48MP telephoto lens for the Pro camera.
Google will embed its latest Android operating system (OS) Android 13 on the flagship Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. This marks the two smartphones as the world's first Android 13 flagship phones to receive FCC certification.
FCC certification ensures the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro support 5G networks, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and NFC. The Pixel 7's design is similar to the Pixel 6 series and has a punch-hole in the center and a long strip camera module on the back.
The Google Pixel 7 will sport a 6.3-inch OLED display and the Pixel 7 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch OLED display. The two cellphones carry a high refresh rate of 120Hz, as quoted by Giz China.
The flagship Pixel 7 Series carries a second-generation Tensor chip that offers better and faster performance than its predecessor. The cellphone carries 12GB of RAM and a choice of 128GB and 256GB of storage memory. The current Pixel 7 Pro comes with a 5,000 mAh battery which provides a long battery life. The device offers support for 23W fast charging.
Google Hands Production of Pixel 7 and Pixel Foldable to Foxconn.
While Google hasn't been heard officially confirming it will produce a foldable phone, the well-known Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station, claims that Google is still planning to release it in the fourth quarter of this year.
Production will likely be handled by Foxconn and will begin in Q3 2022. Additionally, Foxconn will have production orders for the Pixel 7, according to a tweet dated August 3, 2022.
The leaker revealed some important details about the Pixel Foldable. He believes that the device will feature a 2K display with a punch-cutout hole for the selfie camera, while a 50MP periscope camera with a variable focal length will be the star of the show. That camera will be assisted by a secondary IMX787 sensor. Of course, the device will use a custom Tensor 2 chip while the body will be made of ceramic.
Meanwhile, the specifications of the Google Pixel 6 will be a shadow of the Pixel 7. This device has a size of 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm with a weight of 207 grams, and a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and HDR10+. In addition, it has an 83.4% screen-to-body ratio with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Google will launch its latest flagship smartphones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on October 6 and will only open the Pre-Order door in October 2022. Google's competitor in the flagship market, namely Samsung, will only introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in September.
Just like the specifications, the price of the Pixel 7 is still unclear. It is said that Google will increase the price of this new smartphone far from its predecessors. Some predict that the Google Pixel 7 will start at $599, while the Google Pixel 7 Pro will start at $899.
