Windows 11 was finally released by Microsoft official on October 5, 2021. For those of you who are already using Windows 10, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade to Windows 11.

About Windows 11 Specification Requirements :

Processor: 64-bit CPU at 1GHz or faster with 2 or more cores.
RAM: 4GB
Storage: 64GB
System Firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable
TPM: TPM 2.0.
Graphics Card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or above with WDDM 2.0 driver.

In the processor specifications above, it seems that there are many processors that can run Windows 11. But unfortunately, if we look at the list from Microsoft, only AMD Ryzen 2000 Series and above and Intel Core 8th Gen and above are on the list. Although with a few exceptions for Intel Core 7th Gen.

Apart from the CPU issue, the lack of clarity about TPM 2.0 is also a problem. Microsoft wrote that Windows 11 needed TPM 2.0 but Microsoft also provided a solution for upgrading to Windows 11 without TPM 2.0 support.

Sexy Windows 11 UI but Unsatisfactory UX
If there is one thing that gets praise, the compactness of various media is a matter of the new look that is presented by Windows 11.

Some media say that the UI of Windows 11 looks more neat, smooth, and modern. From the looks of it, I also agree that Windows 11 does look much more modern and smoother.

However, unfortunately, even though it looks prettier, the UX of Windows 11 has been criticized in terms of functionality.

You will only see the Taskbar on the main screen. So, if you use multiple monitors, you can't see the information in the right corner of the Taskbar (Notification Area) if the main monitor is being used full-screen (such as when watching or playing games).

Microsoft seems to be too pushy about Microsoft Edge, which will often appear even though the Default App for the browser has been replaced.

Windows 11 performance is not much different from Windows 10
Then finally, how about performance? Besides appearance, of course performance is one of the, if not the most crucial, if Microsoft wants users to switch from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

There is no difference in performance between Windows 11 and Windows 10

Likewise with PC Gamers who revealed that there is no difference in gaming performance between Windows 11 and Windows 10.

This equivalent performance between Windows 10 and Windows 11 can actually be a positive thing, at least you don't have to worry about your PC slowing down. But the same performance also means there is no strong reason why we should upgrade to Windows 11.

Actually, there are 2 interesting things from the gaming side that Windows 11. The first feature is DirectStorage which is an Xbox technology that can be used to speed up gaming performance. While the second is Auto HDR which is also a technology from Xbox to beautify games in games without HDR support on HDR monitors.

Unfortunately, the DirectStorage feature still cannot be used because game developers have to implement this feature. Meanwhile, Auto HDR also requires you to upgrade to a monitor that supports HDR technology, which is still expensive.

Finally, gradually, like it or not, we have to change to Windows 11 because there really is no other choice if you want to continue using Windows, unless you move to Linux, Chrome OS, or MacOS.

However, for now, it seems better if we patiently wait for updates from various parties. At least, Microsoft still provides a time limit for those of you who want a free upgrade to Windows 11 until 2022, although there is no definite deadline for the upgrade.
